JOB SUMMARY:

The Brand Manager is the primary person with the responsibility of developing the vision, goals and merchandising strategy for each of their clients. This requires building relationships and working closely with each client and their manager to develop the merchandising strategy across all channels. This will require that the Brand Manager has a deep understanding of the client and their customer base.

The Brand Manager oversees the strategy lifecycle, which includes:

  • Product development strategy
  • Annual activity planning
  • Product planning and development
  • Marketing activity
  • Performance review and planning revision
  • Liaise with A&R rep on annual budgeting

In effecting all of the above, the Brand Manager will also be accountable for the overall financial performance of their clients across all channels, as well as being the key point of contact for each client.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Act as the day-to-day liaison between Global and the client and their management.
  • Work across all sales channels to develop client budgets and sales targets.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for the delivery and achievement of the budget and sales targets for each client.
  • Working with internal departments to deliver a high-level product and marketing strategy for each client including.
  • Identifying key activities and themes for merchandise and product development based on a comprehensive understanding of the client and their customers.
  • Working with internal departments defining key initiatives and activity across key channels of Tour, Retail, Web, Licensing, VIP, collaborations, and client brand development/extension to maximize potential earnings.
  • Working with the Creative / Product development department to develop all required design and art assets and to project manage the plans to ensure they are approved by the client and completed in a timely fashion.
  • Holding minimum quarterly departmental reviews of the plans to evaluate performance both operationally and financially and adjusting the plan and activities accordingly.
  • Securing client commitment and approval across all strategy and campaigns including product development, samples, products, marketing and advertising.
  • Ensure campaigns are coordinated across departments to gain maximum impact across all channels.
  • Ensure all client activity and news is effectively communicated across every team internally as well as monitoring the tour diary is always current.

Information

  • Client annual budgets covering all channels
  • A bullet-point high level product strategy per client, which can be shared both internally and externally, which provides the framework for the client activity for the upcoming year.
  • Campaign / activity documentation – All information relevant to the product development for internal and external review, approval and communication

Documentation

  • The Brand Manager will be required to complete and fulfill standardized templates and formats for budgets covering all channels assisted by the Finance Department involving procedures for review and approval and meeting identified delivery timescales.
  • A standard format for communicating client annual activity across all channels.
  • Sales and financial performance reviews with each department to monitor, refine and improve plans on an on-going basis.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong understanding of the music, entertainment, and pop culture landscape
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience using project management software such as Asana, Trello, or Monday.com

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Hybrid office environment (Los Angeles headquarters with remote flexibility).
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with frequent cross-functional collaboration.
  • May require occasional evening and weekend availability during major product launches, tours, or events, including occasional travel.
